DartSide is a sewing pattern editor designed to streamline the entire process of pattern creation, from scanning to exporting. It seamlessly integrates with iPhones and iPads, catering to both novice and experienced creators.

SCAN
The scanning feature enables users to easily capture paper patterns or fabric samples:

• Take a photo of a pattern piece
• Correct perspective distortions typically caused by camera angles
• Set the appropriate scale for your image
• Add the photo to the construction canvas as a background
• Lock the image for use as a guideline while drawing vector contours
• Hide the image for later reference when needed

CONSTRUCTION
DartSide offers flexibility in pattern construction:

• Draft a pattern from scratch within the app
• Modify an existing scanned pattern
• Transform any pattern from your project list

Key functionalities include:

• Freehand drawing of lines and curves using finger or Apple Pencil
• Adjusting point positions by specified distances and directions
• Measuring lengths between connected points or curves
• Creating traces to visualize how parts of the pattern fit together

PIECES
The application allows for industrializing all pattern pieces, ensuring precise cutting and assembly:

• Create new pieces by extracting desired shapes from your construction
• Add indicators such as notches, markers, and fabric grain lines to each piece
• Define seam allowances and corner types accurately

EXPORT
Patterns can be exported in PDF or SVG formats, maintaining the exact vector representation seen in Pieces Mode. The exported files are compatible with vector editing software such as Adobe Illustrator or Inkscape, facilitating further refinement.

Project Syncing
Automatic cloud syncing ensures that all projects are saved consistently without manual intervention. Users can access their projects across multiple devices linked to their accounts.

DartSide Premium:
A free version of DartSide is available, although it restricts pattern exports. A subscription unlocks unlimited PDF and SVG exports, enriching users' capabilities.
